The Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, is beautifully decorated with charming, classic touches that create a warm atmosphere. The spacious bar and restaurant area was very accommodating, making it easy for seniors like me to navigate comfortably.

Creaky floors can be bothersome for sensitive ears.

    would definitely return here

We had a spacious classic double room with a comfy bed. The bathroom had a powerful shower and free toiletries. Our windows had blackout blinds for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was fresh with loads of options, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy too!

Charming historic ambiance, spacious bar area, good selection of tea and coffee

Noise from nearby rooms can be quite disruptive!!! Cleanliness needs attention, especially in bathrooms and window frames!!! Consider improving insulation to mitigate cold drafts from old windows!!!

    friendly staff
    spacious room
    great location
    basic food

Had a great time with friends! The location made it easy to explore the local antique shops and the nearby Kinema in the Woods. Our room was spacious and comfy, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Staff were friendly and helpful, which added to our overall experience. I highly recommend for a fun getaway.

The only downside was that the food was just okay. Meals felt a bit basic, and we preferred brunch elsewhere, but it didn't ruin our stay.

Couples looking for a comfortable getaway

The food was incredible, especially the Eggs Benedict at breakfast. And the bed, oh man, it was like sleeping on a cloud, truly restful after a long day.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for the quality, it was acceptable enough.

    spacious room
    great bar
    good breakfast
    noise insulation
    cleaning issues
    slow service

The staff here are really friendly and accommodating. I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. The room felt spacious, and I appreciated the comfortable beds. I enjoyed the variety of drinks available in the bar and liked how the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I had a good experience at breakfast, with a decent selection of food to start the day. The bar area was perfect for relaxing. I faced noise issues from the floor above me. every footstep echoed through the ceiling. The cleanliness in some areas could improve a bit. I noticed some spots that seemed overlooked. I experienced delays in service during breakfast, which felt a bit chaotic despite being low occupancy. I could hear conversations and laughter clearly from the adjacent rooms, which disrupted my sleep. Wi-Fi speed could use some improvement too, it felt slow at times. The restaurant's dinner menu seemed a bit limited, and the quality varied. some dishes impressed, while others fell flat, especially some overcooked items. The overall ambiance is charming, but there's room to refine the details.

    noisy plumbing
    warm room

the admiral rodney hotel is a great place to stay. the breakfast was lovely with a lot of choices and the food quality was really good. the restaurant and bar area had a nice atmosphere and was clean, welcoming, and the staff were super efficient. we had a good time and would totally recommend it to anyone visiting lincolnshire. our room was comfy and the overall experience was really satisfying.

the room was a bit warm, and the plumbing noises in the morning were annoying. also, the window was tiny and didn't offer much ventilation.

    spacious room
    well-decorated room
    late breakfast
    spilled tea
    underwhelming dishes

Spacious, well-decorated room with an excellent selection of tea, coffee, and regional bread. The bed ensured a great night's sleep, but the breakfast experience was marred by late delivery and spillage. Dinner had good choices but missed the mark on a few dishes, leading to an overall underwhelming dining experience.
